Featured performer at Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Jazz: Live at Hyatt is designed to transport guests back to the golden age of jazz and cabaret with an evening of soulful music and delectable desserts crafted by the hotel’s culinary masters. Complimentary performances are every Friday and Saturday night from 9:00pm to midnight. Reservations are not required.
Ana’s St. John is a native New Orleanian who has worked in the music, theater and the modeling industry for the past ten years.
Most recently, Ana’s completed a run as one of the featured artists in the “Women in Jazz” series. After she earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Xavier University, she received a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of New Orleans. Ana’s has appeared on stages with Tulane Summer Lyric Theater, the New Orleans Opera Association, Le Petit Theater, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, and the Living History Project. Following in the footsteps of her father, jazz alto saxophonist Marion Brown, Ana’s is featured regularly in such famed New Orleans jazz institutions such as Bombay Club, Snug Harbor, Dos Jeffes, D.B.A., King Bolden’s, The Ogden Museum of Art, Monkey Hill.
Mrs. St. John made her festival debut at the French Quarter Festival in 2007. After being awarded a spot at the prestigious Cabaret Conference at Yale University, Mrs. St. John has found a home on the stage of the cabaret theater, Le Chat Noir. In addition to being named one of New Orleans Magazine’s “People To Watch,” and most recently featured as one of their “Personas,” Mrs. St. John has also been given a “L’Image” Award from Gambit Weekly. Ana’s St. John makes a living as a music educator in Orleans Parish. Ana’s has recently been nominated for a Big Easy Award for Best Cabaret.
