    International Stage at Dutch Alley

Canal Creepers play jazz from the good old days, that makes you really happy, and that swings so that it is hard to sit still.

What makes them absolutely proud and happiest is that each spring since 2000 they have been invited to the French Quarter Festival in jazz’s birthplace New Orleans. The band was formed in 1993 namely in Åkersberga (near Stockholm) by those who loved and played this music already. Akers Channel, sometimes called Roslagens Mississippi, gave rise to the band’s name, which in translation almost becomes – “Channel rascals.” Members have shifted some but three are left from the early years.
