NCIS: New Orleans Preservation Hall Stage
St. Cecilia’s Asylum Chorus is a six-member choral group whose members have been drawn together from New Orleans’ diverse and eclectic music scenes. St. Cecilia’s Asylum Chorus’ performances take audiences on a tour through the American songbook with detours into original material, songs from the modern rock canon, Cajun-French standards, Irish melodies, and any other great, spirit-moving song we love.
The chorus’ members are all accomplished solo performers as well. Its singers have individually performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals. The partial list includes Bonnaroo, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Voodoo Fest, and worldwide stages from Brazil to Australia. All this in addition to their ongoing musical projects based out of New Orleans. They come together to have the opportunity to share the joy of singing with each other and their audience.
From their debut performance at Preservation Hall to their most recent recordings, St. Cecilia’s Asylum Chorus has always been dedicated to the joy of singing great songs that draw the audience in and make them sing along.
