French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uplifts and sustains New Orleans’ cultural economy and those who create it.

Our mission is to promote the Vieux Carré and the city of New Orleans through French Quarter Festival, Satchmo SummerFest and other high-quality special events and activities that showcase the culture and heritage of this unique city, contribute to the economic well-being of the community, and instill increased pride in the people of New Orleans.

French Quarter Festival

Founded in 1984 to revitalize the French Quarter, French Quarter Festival is a beloved celebration of New Orleans culture. With over 20 stages showcasing every genre from jazz to zydeco, and a lineup of New Orleans’ best restaurants serving signature dishes, it’s no surprise #FQFest is repeatedly voted “favorite festival” by locals.

Satchmo Summerfest

Satchmo SummerFest is a two-day celebration of Louis Armstrong, featuring live music, Louisiana cuisine, and lectures on his life and legacy. The annual festival, held near his birthday, honors Armstrong’s journey from New Orleans roots to a global jazz icon with a timeless influence.
